ZOE

ZOE is a bitch born to LADY (McClung) and JOCK (Lockley McClung cross) in 2011. She is a good honest dog with a wonderful nature. Zoe can find and bail her own pigs and will hold with other dogs.

ZOE was mated to BRUCIE with pups born in 2013. We have kept RED with his other litter mates sold on.
Bruce
0BRUCE – Bruce was purchased as a six week old pup. His role is as a hard holder. Bruce is Bull Mastiff cross. I keep him on a rope 90% of the time and only let him go when the other dogs have found and stopped a pig. He wears a breast plate to protect his neck and chest area. If I do let him off the rope he can and will catch his own pig. Despite his appearance he is a very gentle dog and great around the home and kids. Bruce has been mated to Zoe to start a new line.

LADY

LADY – Lady is a pure McClung bitch bred in the Marlborough Sounds. Her father was SARGE (pure McClung) a legendary dog from Nelson. Lady’s mum was PUNCH a pure McClung from the Marlborough Sounds. As a young bitch she was very hard and tried to hold everything but as she’s got older and wiser but she finds and bails a lot now.

JOCK
0JOCK – Jock is a son out of CLAY and FLO which I’ve bred (Lockley/McClung cross). He’s been my main dog for the last few years. Jock can find and catch his own pigs. He can stay on a pig up to 3 kms, find, bail and hold. Jock is very local and a good honest dog and my main stud dog.

FLO – Dave Miller from Blenheim bred her out of CHUM (Lockley) and another Lockley bitch. I got her at seven months off David and she came to live with me at Pohuenui in the Marlborough Sounds. She was an outstanding stopping bitch. Flo could stop good boars by herself and bail for hours on her own. She was very hard on the arse end.
I started mating her to a pure McClung dog called CLAY owned by a friend in the Marlborough Sounds. They produced several litters which are spread around the top of the South Island. These pups are grown into dogs/bitches which can catch their own pigs and they would all be now at least six years old.

Dog Breeding – Jock and Tai
0Tai is a pure breed (old blood) McClung bitch which I purchased off her original owner in recent years for breeding purposes. In her prime she was a top bitch catching many good pigs. She still hunts well but has slowed up a bit.
